When it falls
Whose reckoning these dates follow
Japa’s Western-date programme runs from Ash Wednesday through Holy Saturday, using the Gregorian calculation of Easter. This programme range is not a definition of the liturgical season.
Why communities differ
Eastern Christian calendars and fasting periods vary by church. Many use a different calculation of Pascha and begin Great Lent on Clean Monday; Holy Week is distinct from Great Lent in Byzantine usage.
Japa has not independently verified these dates against a published calendar. Check them against the authority your own community keeps.
